The Nashoba Valley Knitters’ Guild brings together people of all levels who like to knit and crochet. We also have people who just love fiber It does not matter if you are just beginning your fiber journey or a seasoned professional as everyone is welcome!
The guild a place where you will learn new things, share your creations with others, get or receive help, ask questions and just enjoy the company of others who share the love of fiber. We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at either St. Theresa’s, 15 Still River Road, Harvard, MA or the Bolton Library, Main St., Bolton, MA depending on the month.
The meetings begin with Show and Tell. Our members bring in their projects completed, in process or are being contemplated, It is a time to be praised, inspired, get help and sometimes leave us all in awe by the number of projects some people can complete over the month.
We have many speakers who will come in teach us something new or tell us the story about their designs or about thier latest book. The presentation will either be in person or via Zoom. Our speakers are determined by our guild members.
It might be the new designers who is trending on Tiktok or Ravalry, the author of your favorite book, or might be a technique we would like to learn or just like to do more of. We do an annual dying workshop. We have done felting, had authors who took us on an adventure through the Sami region of Norway/Finland, meet the authors of the latest book, learned the newest techniques, had indie dyers, trunk shows with a leading designer or someone in the guild sharing their expertise with group. We also do field trips!
Membership is open to all. The cost is $35 per year. Visitors are usually welcome. We may asks visitors for a $10 – $15 meeting fee when we have a special speaker.
