This month we will be welcoming Lisa Dachinger of Hilltop Farm & Fiber Arts in Lanesborough, MA. Lisa is a farmer, natural hand dyer, and spinner. She grows many of the flowers and plants she uses to dye. Lisa is going to give us an Introduction to Natural Dyeing. She will talk about how to scour, mordant, dye and shift color on wool using flowers grown on the farm. I will have three types of flowers available for purchase along with some mordant that you can use to dye using a mason jar and the sun!
This should be a fun and informative evening. Lisa will be joining us via Zoom. We plan to be meeting at the church. If you rather Zoom from home, we will be sending out a link to the meeting. For those who are interested, Lisa does offer dyeing workshops at her farm in the summer along with indigo dyeing and botanical printing. If you are interested in attending a workshop this summer, please let us know and we can see about having our own workshop.
In March we hope to have a very talented local designer and yarn shop owner. More information to come once confirmed.
